Malteser International

Cité Soleil is an extremely impoverished and forgotten commune within Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Malteser International’s approach to aid has been through creating self-help initiatives. They don’t clean the garbage from the canals; they distribute equipment and train locals on how to do it. Malteser doesn’t bring food; instead they provide seeds and farming knowledge to help those in need to feed themselves.
